What services does PPE offer?

We provide these services for photographers:

Color Correction – Our most popular service and probably the reason you’re here.

Culling – Filtering of thousands of images by narrowing down to images that are sharpest, best pose.

Retouching – Usually performed after culling and correcting, our retouching service includes advanced Photoshop services like head swapping, background, glare and object removal, skin smoothing, etc.

Album Design – Usually performed after culling and correcting, we can design a beautiful, modern album to be bound at the album company of your choice.

Which image file formats do you accept and in which formats do you deliver to your clients?

We accept all RAW formats compatible with Lightroom 4-CC. To speed up the upload process, we recommend converting to DNG files (learn how here) before sending. We accept Jpgs but remind you that exposure adjustments will be limited if your image is over or underexposed.

We deliver your edited images as a Lightroom catalog which will apply all of our adjustments and ratings to your existing raw images. If you do not have Lightroom, we can output images as dngs, hi res jpgs or uncompressed tifs). We do not recommend this since file sizes are large and require longer transfer times after editing. If you need images in this way, there is an additional $.02 charge per image unless you send us a USB drive to mail back to you.

Is there a minimum charge per order?

Yes, $50.00 per order.


What is your billing procedure?

After you place a new order, you will receive an invoice. Once payment is received, we will start your job.


How do I know when my images are ready?

We provide you with live updates on the status of your order!
You’ll receive a notification letting you know your files are ready to download or your tracking number for shipping.


Do you offer a free trial?

IMAGE SELECTION / ADJUSTMENT QUESTIONS

How do I know that if you will edit my images the way my customers expect them?

At PPE, our editors have a keen and trained eye for color management. We also work one-on-one with you to discuss how to achieve your personal editing style. Before your first job, we recommend sending a variety of sample images for our editors to reference for color and contrast preferences.

We guarantee our work! If you are not pleased, we will make adjustments until you are happy.


What software do you use for editing?

PPE uses Adobe Lightroom 4, 5, 6 and Creative Cloud. Please let us know what version you use so we can send you a compatible catalog.

If you don’t own software that can read XMPs, we can deliver your images as JPEGs or TIFs.


How do I send images to PPE?

PPE receives and delivers images via online large file transfer sites or on a USB drive in the mail. Learn more here.


How do I place an order?

Follow instructions here. You may upload your images to us using one of the online services recommended or by mailing us a USB drive.


What is your turnaround time?

For photographers who schedule their orders with us ahead of time, we offer a guaranteed turnaround time of 3-5 business days, as long as orders arrive on or before the date scheduled. (Orders of 700+ images may take slightly longer to process). All unscheduled or late orders will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis within 6-10 business days.
